Your home is constantly interacting with your body—whether you realize it or not.
The air you breathe. The water you drink. The light that regulates your circadian rhythm. The carbon dioxide levels in your bedroom while you sleep. Even subtle factors like lighting flicker can influence how you feel, think, recover, and function throughout the day.
Most of these influences are invisible. Because we can't see them, we rarely think about them.
But they can be measured.
And once they're measured, they can be improved.
For more than two decades, my work has been guided by a single question:
What truly influences not just lifespan, but healthspan?
Long before longevity became a mainstream conversation, my focus was never simply on how long we live—but on how well we live.
That journey led me through the science of human physiology, the measurable effects of stress and recovery, and years of helping people make informed decisions through objective measurement rather than assumption.
The more I understood about the human body, the more one truth became impossible to ignore.
If our environment plays such a significant role in how we sleep, think, recover, and perform... why weren't we measuring the environment itself?
I had already been exploring that question—long before I called it Healthy Home.
Nearly a decade ago, I created a private Wellness Retreat Center in Julian, California, designed around a simple premise: that the environments we inhabit have a profound influence on how we rest, recover, and feel. Over the years, I witnessed firsthand how just a few days in a thoughtfully designed setting could change the way people slept, managed stress, and experienced their overall well-being.
At the same time, I use advanced physiological assessments to objectively measure how stress and other factors influenced the body. Together, those experiences reinforced something I had long suspected: our environment is not simply the backdrop for our lives—it is an active participant in our health.
What I hadn't yet done was bring that same evidence-informed approach into the place where people spend most of their lives: their homes.
The Healthy Home was born from that foundation.
Not as a departure from my work, but as its natural progression.
Today, I bring the same evidence-informed approach that has guided my work for decades into the place that shapes our lives more than any other—our homes. By evaluating the environmental factors that influence the way we live every day, I help clients move beyond assumptions and make informed decisions that support their health, well-being, and quality of life.
